We went to Vegas this past week and I dragged hubsand out to Valley Of Fire State Park for a little hiking. We didn’t get near enough time to really dive into it deeply, but we did make it to the hike out to the Fire Wave.

Much of this year has been spent rebuilding slowly from the inside out, trying to replace bad habits with better ones and reconnecting with myself. While I didn’t pick up my “good” camera for damn near half the year, I snapped a lot of shots with my iPhone this year that I really enjoyed. I got into Instagram, and while it’s not necessarily high art by any means, I enjoy the bite-sized nature of the shots there. I powered through the last three hours of driving to Pittsburgh, and it was especially a slog after the sun went down. But I arrived in Pennsylvania and it felt familiar and comforting.
